Yumachang Sports Park

This project for “Yida”, a large Chinese development company presented a unique design opportunity.  The client wanted a golf practice facility that could also double as a small par 3 golf course as well.  The result is a 6 hole short course that is playable by shutting down the large practice range tee.  This facility is a perfect model for teaching the game of golf to the Chinese people.  The park plan also prepared by Holt Golf Design includes adjacent recreational opportunities.  For this project Holt Golf Design served as a golf course and recreation consultant to HZS, a multi discipline design firm located in Shanghai, China.
